The earth's surface was obliterated from pollution and the ozone layer disappearing. Humans migrated into the sewers and tunnels underground to escape the drought and fire that engulfed the crust. An evil tyrant, Theda, took control of our society limiting food and water to make the people reliant on the government. Humans and subjects were confined to tunnels and not allowed to venture out of the colony. Chi, a rebel, steals water to parch her and her best friend Chrinn’s thirst. Chi is stolen in the night. Chrinn tries to rescue her friend, but she cannot save her friend from Theda’s rath. So Chrinn must escape.
